*TOPIC: THE BATTLES OF LIFE (3)*

*Text: Luke 21:16, Psalms 55:21, 41:9.*

Tonight, before we start prayers, we continue in our series. We have been discussing this for a while, and we have been discussing facts about the battles of life that:

1. It is a universal problem. 

2. There is something in you that the enemy wants to take away. 

3. The world is not a playground; it is a hot battle field. 

4. In the battle of life, you cannot be neutral. It is life or death, heaven or hell, light or darkness. 

5. You either fight or perish. 

6. The two most effective weapons of the enemy are ignorance and discouragement.

7. The enemy is an obstinate fighter and will only yield what he must yield. 

Then last week, I began to tell you more about facts about the battles of life:

8. The only languages the enemy understands are violence and defeat. 

9. Your progress is the battle you win minus the battle you lose. 

10. In the battles of life, daily casualties are a regular occurrence. 

11. The more colourful your destiny is, the harder the battle. 

12. The enemy of our soul has no mercy, and so you have no reason to be merciful to them. 

13. Battles become difficult when there is a strongman in charge of a situation. 

14. We concluded at the point that we have superior weapons, superior equipment, and superior power. 

More facts about the battles of life. 

15. The battle of life does not discriminate. It will not say that you are white or black, or that your father is a pastor, or that your mother is a pastor. It does not recognise races; whatever your colour is, it does not discriminate. 

16. It has no respect for your person or opinion. 

17. It can result in an untimely death. It is a wrong proverb to say that if God does not kill somebody, then nothing else can kill him or her. No, the devil can kill the person if you allow him to do so. Heaven may not grant the allowance, but you can allow it. God told the devil, “You can punish Job, but do not touch his life,” meaning that the devil has the power to steal, kill, and destroy.

This is why I am going to pray this very serious prayer, which requires a tenfold Amen:

Any arrow of untimely death fired against anyone here or any member of anyone’s family, let that arrow backfire! In the name of Jesus. (a tenfold amen).

So the battle of life can result in untimely death, meaning that most people who die untimely died because they were killed.

There is a difference between dying and being killed. Most of the people in the mortuary were killed, either physically or spiritually.

18. The battle of life does not issue prior warnings.

19. This is a very tragic fact: The battle of life can afflict a person from the cradle to the grave. It will start fighting the person from the womb until the person dies.

I am praying that every from-cradle-to-grave battle shall expire! In the name of Jesus.

20. The battle of life can come upon all ages. The day they brought a 6-year-old girl to me and the mother said, “She is diabetic,” I replied, “6 years old?” The mother said ‘yes.’ So the battle had started at age 6.

21. The battle of life can cause insanity. The Bible says, “Oppression maketh a wise man mad.”

22. The battle of life has no respect for geographical location. If, for example, you are in Nigeria now, where in every corner somebody is calling down fire and praying, with churches here and there, and you stay in this environment without catching the fire or getting on fire for Christ, and then you travel abroad and go to a country that is spiritually cold, that place you go to is a spiritual amplifier that will amplify the problem that you took from home that you did not kill.

And if you say, “Witches are pursuing me in one country, let me run to another country”, immediately you arrive at the airport, and the witches there say, “Welcome, we are here.” This is a very serious matter.

There is one man who did not like MFM at all and was always saying, “Why are they praying like this here?” But something happened to him that changed him forever. His wife had a baby in one country in Europe. His mother-in-law travelled to look after the baby. So she got there before him. And then he travelled to welcome the new member of the family and his wife.

So he got there in the morning, and then in the evening, a white man came to press the bell of their house, and he answered. The man then told him, “There is a witch that just arrived from Nigeria here. Tell that witch that we do not attend witchcraft meetings late in this place, so she has to be prompt. Our meetings here are on schedule. If she comes late, the meeting would have been over.”

Then the white man said bye and left. This man was dumbstruck. He wondered what to do. He was afraid to confront the mother-in-law or tell his wife.

Then he was so worried because that was the woman bathing the baby. This man, who did not like MFM at all, called me and explained to me what was going on. I do not even know how he got my number. I decided to pull his legs, and I replied, “Really? Is that so? Sorry o, what are we going to do now?” He said, “Ahh, Dr. Olukoya, you are laughing at me.”

Then I asked, “Where are you?” He mentioned the country. I said, “Good! There is MFM there; go there and buy a copy of the Prayer Rain book. Open to where it says ‘The Aggressive Prayer of the Psalmist’ and start aggressive vigil”. Quickly, he did so. 

If this man prays now, you will be afraid. But he did not like MFM before. So the battles of life have no respect for your geographical location.

A lot of Nigerians are travelling abroad now. As soon as they check in at the airport, the battle also checks in there. And if they are not prayerful there, the place becomes an amplifier and makes the problem bigger.

You, who are in Nigeria and battling with lust of the heart, now enter a country where somebody is sleeping with a woman on the street. You are finished, because if you cannot even cope here in Nigeria, how will you cope there?

23. The battle of life is a stark illiterate. It does not matter whether you go to school or not. And this is a very serious matter. 

24. The battle of life has no respect for your brain power. I had a friend who was a university lecturer. In the full glare of the students, he fell down in the lecture room and began to convulse. The students gathered around him, and some poured water on him, some spat on him, and some poured gutter water on him.

Someone said, “Get a woman to urinate on his head,” And one of the female students urinated on him. Then my friend said that when he woke up and saw all the students surrounding him, he was very embarrassed. 

I am praying for somebody here that any battle assigned to embarrass your destiny shall die violently! In the name of Jesus. (a 7-fold amen). 

After medical intervention and there was no solution, his parents took him to a witch doctor. The native doctor said, “Well, if you want this problem to be solved, you need to carry a she goat on your back in broad daylight and walk around the village market seven times.” He exclaimed, “Ah, baba, I am a lecturer.” The man asked, “Was it not in the same lecture room where you fell down?” The lecturer then asked, “Is there anything else we can do?” The man said, “Well, you have to buy 7 coconuts, look for 7 crossroads, and break each one on that crossroad.”

“You will remove the skin of the coconut at midnight and break it there.” He said, “Ah, at midnight? Can I not just remove the skin, go there, and just smash it there at the crossroads?” The man said, “No, it is at those crossroads that you will remove the skin.” The lecturer then asked, “What if something dangerous happens to me?” The man replied, “Well, that is the risk you take to get your healing.” It was at that level that he ran to MFM. It was on this mountain that God delivered that brother. 

I am praying for somebody here today that any satanic recommendations that have put you in trouble now, let the consequences be cancelled now! In the name of Jesus. 

25. The battle of life becomes dangerous when there are unfriendly friends.

Look at Luke 21:16. Jesus made it clear that there would be unfriendly friends.

Luke 21:16 (KJV) says: ,”And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.”

Psalms 55:21 (KJV) says: “The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.”

The words were very nice, but war was in his heart. This is an unfriendly friend. He is speaking nicely, but it is a lie. The words were softer than oil; they sound encouraging and lovely, but they are a lie.

The Bible says that inside they had drawn their swords. They really do not care whether you fall down and die.

Psalms 41:9 (KJV) says: “Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.”

Some people did not die because of the arrow that entered their chest; they died when they saw the person who fired the arrow, and they were shocked.

In life, there will be people who, for no reason at all, will simply not like you. They talk well in your presence, but when you leave, they talk badly about you.

In life, the rain of tribulation falls on all lives. There is no trouble-free life, but do you believe that there are people who rejoice when they see you shedding tears?

Unfortunately, we often become entangled in avoidable situations because sometimes we do not vet our friends.

We must get to a level where we allow Father God to vet our friends. The more traffic you have going in and out of your life, the more you expose your life to warfare.

Some unnecessary talk we engage in can put us in trouble. When you expose yourself and your family like that, you sell your secrets to the enemy.

An unfriendly friend:

– is someone who digs a pit for you to fall into. 

– Is someone who laughs with you but spreads gossip and accusations against you. 

– Encourages others to dislike you.

– Is someone who is envious of you. 

– is someone who does not really wish you well but pretends otherwise. 

The Chinese have a proverb that says, “God, show me my enemies, and I will know that they are my enemies because they have announced themselves as enemies. But show me better, those that are friends but are enemies”.

An unfriendly friend:

– Will shed crocodile tears, will sympathise with you in public, but behind your back, will say, “Serves him right, good for him/her.” 

– Circulates your name for evil. So you can see why the battle of life becomes dangerous when there are unfriendly friends. 

– Plots against you at night and laughs with you in the morning. 

– Smiles a lot and talks nicely to you, but gossips behind you.

– Appears when he needs you and disappears when you need them most. 

– Is very selfish and self-centered.

– Is threatened by your success. 

– Gets upset when something good happens to you, and they are highly covetous. 

– Is highly inconsistent; you cannot depend on or rely on them. 

– is not trustworthy. 

– will rejoice when something bad happens to you. Your pain gives them joy. Sometimes your problem is not really your problem; it is actually who you told the problem to. They help you add fire to it.

Unfriendly friends:

– Are pathological ingrates, no matter whatever sacrifices you have offered them in the past.

– Are traitors because they prefer to always be above you.

– Are satanic broadcasters that expose your weaknesses and failures. 

– Will find faults with you but will not be bold enough to say it to your face. 

– work hand in hand with you to locate your secrets and your strategies to then expose you and deliver you to the enemy. 

This is why the battle of life becomes dangerous when there are unfriendly friends in it. There are three prayers we always pray here in MFM about unfriendly friends. Many people do not understand it, but I am going to pray those three prayers now. Again, let your volcanic amen be tenfold.

I am praying that any power that hates to see you laugh, that is a joy killer, a testimony aborter; no matter how long they have travelled in your life, they must die! In the name of Jesus. 

Unfriendly friends may come against a person:

– as a result of satanic attacks. The enemy has sent them. They are working for their master. 

– because you are doing well and they are coming against you out of envy. 

– Because they have the spirit of competition, they see you as a competition. 

– If you do not vet them very well and they are suffering from an inferiority complex,

And once they are around you, 

– They expose you to danger. 

– They take advantage of you. 

– They expose your secrets and put you in a danger zone.

This is one thing we need to pray against here today, especially unfriendly friends dispatched from the bottom of hell against you. This is where we are stopping tonight.

*PRAYER POINTS*

1. Every battle against my next level, die in the name of Jesus. 

2. O God arise, disgrace the laughter of my enemies, in the name of Jesus. 

3. Powers arrogantly challenging my prayers, you are liars; die, in the name of Jesus. 

4. Strange powers chasing away my miracles, expire! In the name of Jesus. 

5. Powers stealing from me in the dream, die! In the name of Jesus. 

6. Where is the altar of my problems? Hear the word of the Lord; scatter, in the name of Jesus. 

7. Any spirit of the grave in my body, come out, in the name of Jesus. 

8. O God arise, declare war against those who have declared war against me this year! In the name of Jesus.
